Hey guys, this is Spencer, and today I'm going to teach you how to make the Star Wars opening crawl. First of all, you need a PC to make this. Sorry, Mac users! Next, you can't have this new version of Windows Movie Maker that comes with Windows .
You're going to need to have this old one. In order to download the old version, you need to have it either pre-installed, or download at at this link. First, go to Tools, Titles and Credits. Title after the selected clip. Change the title animation and make it Fade, In and Out. Then make it "A long time ago in a galaxy far far away..." Change the text font and color.
First of all, make the text Franklin Gothic Book. Left-align it. Make the font into a custom color using the RGB model. The color should be , , . Put that into custom colors, click OK. Make the background black. Click Done, Add to Movie. Next, go to Tools again, Titles and Credits, title after selected clip. Change the title animation to Zoom, Out. Edit the text to say "@." Change the font to Star Jedi Hollow. The font will automatically convert the "@" symbol into the Star Wars logo.
The font is available to download right here. However, if you prefer to make your custom logos, I prefer to use SF Distant Galaxy Outline. Make the font using the RGB model again. , , . Add to custom colors, click OK. Center the text and make the text a suitable size, which will be the ending size when the figure fully zooms out. Done, add that to the movie.
Right click, Video Effects, Click on Slow Down, Half and add it to the movie. Click OK. Next, go to Tools, Titles and Credits, title after selected clip. Change the title animation and make it Scroll, Perspective. Edit the title text. It should be about a paragraph or longer. Keep the same color of the text. You're going to have to change the font into SW Crawl Body.
I will attach the font file in the Google Drive document. Reduce the text to the smallest size. Done, add that to the movie. Right click, Video Effects, and put Slow Down, Half at least twice to make it more accurate to the film. Finally, add the Star Wars main theme song if you have it. At that right where the Star Wars logo starts to appear. And of course, reduce the song length to fit your film. Save, and try to make it high quality. Thanks for watching this video, and enjoy t
